Eva Mendes was born in Miami, Florida on March 4, 1974. She is a very successful Hollywood actress and noted for her performances in movies like ‘2 fast 2 furious’ and ‘Hitch’. Her parents are of Cuban origin and her family was a middle class one. Her mother brought her up in Los Angeles after splitting up with her husband and she worked hard to make Eva’s life comfortable. Father is a car salesman and her mother was an elementary school principal.

She joined Hoover High School in California and latter attended California State University. But she did not complete the course and was dropped out from the university in search of an acting career. She has a sister named Janet and she lives in LA.

In the beginning of her career she had done several commercials and music videos. She was featured in a will smith video called Miami and a Pet shop boy’s video in 1996. She even appeared in guest roles in several soap operas and supporting roles in movies. All these experience turned her into a matured and strong actress.

She received her first big-screen break when she appeared in the award-winning and critically-acclaimed Training Day. Her excellent performance in the movie brought her several opportunities and before long she signed movies like Stuck on You, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and as the female lead in the comedy Hitch against Will Smith. Recently she worked with Nicholas Cage in a movie called Ghost Rider.

She is well known to several women as the model of Revlon. She has also worked in interior design and has written children's books. She was ranked 27th in Maxim magazines hot 100 issue in 2006 and in 2007 she was ranked number seven.

Mendes is also an international spokesperson for Revlon Cosmetics. Following in the elite footsteps of such beautiful women as Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford and Julianne Moore, Mendes currently appears in Revlon’s print and television advertising campaigns. She is also an active participant and ardent supporter in Revlon’s commitment in the fight against breast cancer.

Along with a beautiful figure, she also has a beautiful heart, a heart with lots of love and care in it. She is a great supporter of the fight against cancer disease. She also believes in true spiritual union of true love and she once said “I don’t believe in the institution of marriage, for me if you love somebody and have a commitment that is strong and spiritual, and then I just don’t think a piece of paper makes any difference.”
